XP redirected "My Documents" folders woes after SP2

Hi there.

We have a Windows 2003 Group Policy that re-directs XP users folders to a share
on our 2003 Server. This way they can access their My Documents from any pc.

Previously, upon logging in after the GP was applied, old My Documents would be
synchronized to server after a few reboots. The "My Documents" link would show
the blue arrows on the files to show that they are on the server. This has been
working beautifully under SP2 install.

After install SP2, the "My Documents" link on Start Menu still links to the My
Documents folder on our server, but now the "My Documents" link in the users
profiles in "Documents and Setting" is a now local folder.

The effect is that users now have two My Documents folders. One on the server
accessed via the Start Menu, and one local that no longer synchronizes under
their user profile in Documents and Settings.

Can any one shed some light on why this has now happened?

Thanks in advance.
D.R.
