XP Professional Installation Problem

I have a Toshiba Laptop that I upgraded to XP Pro from XP Home. I had a
spyware infection and had to fdisk my machine. I reinstalled XP Home + SP2
and then tried to install XP Pro. When I originally upgraded the machine to
XP Pro I was given the option of either a full install or an upgrade to XP
Pro. That did not happen this time.
I was given the option of overwriting XP Home and was warned that this was
not recommended. Previously I had installed XP Pro before SP2 had come out so
I uninstalled SP 2. That still gave me the overwriting option.
Where on the XP Pro disk is the upgrade option?

Full OEM version doesn't provide an upgrade but a Retail one does.
Slipstream SP2 into XP Pro CD. Do not upgrade a quick-restored XP Home if
you think about the drivers but create a floppy/CD with NIC drivers and make
a clean install.
