XP Professional error message at start up

I am running Windows XP Professional. During start up I
get a blue screen that reads \systemroot\windows system 32
\autocheck.exe program not found skipping auto check. The
OS then seems to start normally.

Wes,

if you have a similar computer nearby, copy the file if it's
really missing. Otherwise do a repair installation.
