XP Pinball game not working in XP Home

Pinball is not working now. It had worked fine when last tried it 4 months
ago. All other XP games work fine.

When I try the exe file the program starts to open ('flashes' the Pinball
logo on the screen) and then quits.
I've tried a Clean Boot and running it but still no change.

I also notice that in XP setup Details, Pinball is not listed as 1 of the
listed XP Games. Is this a hint? Did it accidently get uninstalled somehow?
If so, how do I reinstall? I have XPcd.

Any help appreciated.

Try re-installing from the CD you have, or from the file you used. Go to
the vendor of this game and ask them. Not part of XP as delivered by
Microsoft.

Go out and get a real good pinball game that uses
gamepads. They are getting cheaper. The one on
XP only uses the keyboard and is not really full screen.
There are better ones out there.

Suggest Sierra Thrillride as the best.
