Hello,

I had finished preparing my pc for its new use at the front desk of my
business.
The hotel management software was working fine and I had just installed the
latest INCD from nero to be able to save daily data onto a cdrw from the
software.

Since that day, I shut down the pc and it is now impossible to go beyond the
black screen of windows loading.... It then becomes a black screen with a
tiny white dash in the top left corner.

I tried the recovery console (F8) with all the different mode (Safe,
previous....) for the exact same result everytime ---- Black Screen ----

I just downloaded a boot disk from http://www.bootdisk.com/ and attempt to
get in.

I forgot to mention I use a genuine XP home on a compaq pc but no cd were
provided at the time of purchase. Only the screen option of creating a boot
disk which I never did (I only hope I will not regret it !!).

Any pointers would be welcome, since the business reopens 5 days from now.

Thank you all
