XP Error log entry. What does it mean?

I keep getting Event Viewer errors:

"The USBAT CompactFlash Controller Driver service failed to start due to the
following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it
has no enabled devices associated with it. "

But I have no USBAT service. There's nothing there called USBAT and a
search of my hard drive reveals no files called usbat.* either.

How can I stop this error from occurring?

go start/run and type msconfig, go to the services tab and check if the service is enabled
