I have looked in my C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11 and there is
no WINWORD.EXE. Only One Note which I hate.
Could it be that I don't have it? And why wouldn't I if it comes with MS
Office 2003 which I have?

Well if you installed The Office completely you would
have Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

The Winword.exe should reside in C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office and not in OFFICE11.

What I recommend is do a search of all files and folders
on C: and look for it.

If indeed you are supposed to have word and have the
disks for Office, insert the disk and do a an Office
Repair that will fix any issues and hopefully return the
Winword executable.

Richie...You offer good advice, but just to make you aware, my copy of
Word is located in the OFFICE11 folder (Office 2003 installed on XP).

I have Office 2003 and Winword.exe is in Office11

Try the following.
Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
Select Microsoft Office 2003 and click on Change.
In the next window, select Add/Remove Features and click Next.
In the next window:

If there is not a check in the box next to Word, check the box and
continue.
If there is a check in the box next to Word, click Back select the
Repair option.
{Note: you will likely need your Office CDs}

As you really, really do not like One Note, select it in Add/Remove Programs
and click on Remove. {You will need CD}.

FYI:
Office 2000 and prior were installed in a Office folder.
Office XP was installed in a Office10 folder.
Office 2003 is installed in a Office11 folder.

Office family applications such as One Note, FrontPage etc which may have
not been included in your Office package are installed in the folder
corresponding to the version of Office that they are associated with when
the application is installed.
