I am using a product that can send its information to Word. Right now, it is
not working. I tried changing the name from WINWORD to MS Word. When I used
the program that sends its information to Word, the MS Office installer
popped up. So, my thinking is that Word is blocking the program. Is there a
way to get around this?

What product are you using and what version of Word do you have?

Have you talked to the tech support staff of the billing program in case
it's a known issue?

Of course I have, which is why I came here.

It is a billing program and I have Word 2003.

And it sounds as if they said, "There's nothing wrong with our software.
It's a Word problem." How close did I get?

If Word otherwise works normally, it seems likely that the add-in provided
by the anonymous billing program was intended for an earlier version of Word
and is incompatible with Word 2003 or possibly installed in the wrong
start-up folder. The correct startup folder is defined at tools > options >
file locations > startup.
