I have word doc that has several paragraphs linked in an
outline format. Everything between the bullets is tied
together. How do I remove all outline formating for the
whole document?

I don't understand the question, really. Can you elaborate
a bit? What do you mean by "linked in an outline format"?

Are you talking only about numbering? Or have you applied
heading styles, as well?

Are you saying that you want to remove the numbering from your
document? If this is what you are trying to do, I have two
suggestions:

1. Assuming that numbering was set up with paragraph styles, according
to the instructions at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html, you
have to clear the number formatting for each individual paragraph
style from the Modify Style dialog box. The same advice applies if you
created your numbering by clicking a heading number format on the
Outline Numbered tab of the Bullets and Numbering dialog box.

2. On the other hand, if numbering was set up without using paragraph
styles, all you need to do is to select the entire document and then
press CTRL+Q, which will remove all direct paragraph formatting
(numbering, indents, tabs, line spacing, space before, space after,
and so on) and revert to the defaults of the underlying paragraph
style(s).

If you decide to test these suggestions, work with a copy of your
document, just in case!

Please return with comments and/or questions, if necessary.
