WMP9 reinstall

Hi could someone tell me how to reinstall WMP9 since it
doesnt seem to work. The .wmv files also dont work. I
tried usind Add/Remove Windows Components but that only
removes the shortcut. I have Windows XP Pro CD so I can
install it throgh that I suppose only thing is I dont
know how to?
 
Go to win media and download there, SP2 I think has win 9.0 in it, I use
media10, the newest.
