Hi,
Put the XP CD in the CD ROM
Go to Start > Run > cmd
type:
sfc /scannow (press enter) (Note the space between the c and the
forward slash)
This will replace missing or damaged system files. You might also want
to know the locations of the Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and
Windows\System32\dllcache folders.
Good luck
Hi
I have a problem when using explorer on the XP platform. The search
facility is blank and clicking customise gets no joy. When I tried
System Restore all I get is a blank window. I thought maybe it was a
memory thing but resetting it doesn't help.
Whats missing?, whats broken? how do I fix?
Plase help before I launch the whole thing into the garden
