Hello,

Would Windows XP Setup from CD (no service packs applied) over a broken
Windows XP SP2 installation preserve all the installed application and other
machine/user settings? If yes, how to make sure that is the case - any
choises to make during the installation?

If it can't preserve all, what could be saved and what cannot?

Thank you,
DP

Suggest you make a new Windows XP CD with SP2 slipstreamed
and then perform a "Repair Install".

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

or

AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (preferred)
