How is it possible to download the above boot disk since
the file is 4287 Kb? That is not a floppy disk size.

There is no explanation on the page
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?
displaylang=en&familyid=55820edb-5039-4955-bcb7-
4fed408ea73f
of how to create multiple disks.

My computer will not allow the download because the disk
is to does not hold the file.

How do I create this boot disk and why is it not explained
better?

Go back to that page and read the "More Information" section towards the
bottom. It gives step by step directions for creating the 6 disk set.

Also this article from the MS Knowledge Base basically repeats the same
information:

It is not an image - it is a program that you run and feed with six
blank disks, which it then sets up. Loading the result is tedious -
only if you cannot boot the XP CD should you even think of it
