Windows XP parallel installation adn access to private data

On a corrupted WinXP Home installation I have put in a second installation
along side the old one to try and save the user data....however I have hit a
small problem as they have made some of users private...how can I get
access to their data to recover it...copy it or give them access to it?

Any ideas would be a big help...

You need to take ownership of those files and folders.
