Hello,

I had a Win2000 installation and tried to upgrade to WinXP.

I booted on a WinXP CD and go to install it after formatting my C:
partition. The problem appear at the end of the installation, exactly
at 9 minutes from the end, when the installation process is saving my
personnal datas. The installation process hang up for a realy long time
(about 30 minutes) and then go again normally.

After this installation end, I started my computer with my new XP
install but it seems that Internet Explorer is not installed, no
network configured, no RPC and some other problems append.

I dunno what to do. I tried to reinstall with another XP CD (to know if
it was my CD) but that's don't resolved my problem.

I've got a AMD 2400+ with an ASUS A7V8x Motherboard, and ATI x800XT,
1Go RAM, a Creative Labs Audigy 2 and a DVD Reader/Writer 16x. It's not
a temperature problem 'cause my tower was open and the room not
over-heated.

I found some other people having the same problem but no solution was
given.

Hope you can help me ! Thank you in advance...

Regards,
Eric
