Windows XP Help and Support Center

When I use the help and support center to read up on topics of information I
have a problem. After the main info are some notes on most topics and at the
bottom many say for more information click related topics and there is a
blue highlighted link to 'Related Topics'. When I click on this link it does
not lead anywhere but next to the small 'notes' icon it duplicates the
icon, and duplicates it again every time I click on the link. This is not a
major problem but a really annoying one. Is it a known issue/bug in XP? Any
help would be really appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

Greetings --

Clicking the Related Topics link should produce a box containing
several related topics. By clicking upon the topics within the box,
you'll be redirected to the new subject matter. Is this not what is
happening for you?

Unfortunately, from your description, I cannot tell what is
happening. If you could try phrasing it differently, perhaps
something will "click."

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for replying - sorry my wording was not too good. When I click the
'Related Topics' link I do not get the new box containing other related
topics. In fact I get absolutely nothing. Except that a bit further up which
ever page I am looking at, their is a heading 'Notes' with a small icon next
to it. For every click I make on the related topics link this icon
duplicates itself - i.e. if I click 4 times on the link I have a row of 5
'Notes' icons! But I never get any more links to other topics. Does this
make any more sense? I will check back later - thanks.

I have the identical problem and was looking on this forum for a solution. Several people must have this problem. You have described the identical situation: No related topics appear but little check marks above saying "notes"

I hope someone can answer this question. It IS annoying as Roger said

Thanks,

Paul

Use this link, You will at least get access to help to troubleshoot further:
hcp://system/panels/subpanels/SubSite.htm. Just create a shortcut and
paste this into it.

This is the link for the actual Help Homepage:
hcp://services/centers/homepage
That last one was for network Troubleshooting. Just create a shortcut on the
Desktop and paste this link into the location box. It will act just like the
original link, I have to find the registry key to put this link in and it
will work on the Start Menu also.
