I just saw a link within the Microsoft pages for a FREE
download of Microsoft Word. However, it did not state
anywhere if it would work with Windows XP.
I need Microsoft Word ASAP for papers to write for
college courses, but as a family in poverty with an
extremely low income, I cannot afford ANY fees.
Futhermore, I have no idea how to see any possible
answers on here, so can I be emailed?
THANK YOU!
I do have a PASSPORT via: (e-mail address removed)

That's only the READER version. If you want Word, you have to buy Office or
Word Standalone.

Open Office is a free download and will do your college work

College students should know how to use a computer and
newsgroups.

Unfortunately you can get a copy of the reader version for free, but that
only allows you to read WORD documents. If you want to create them, you're
going to have to buy it.

Download and install Open Office. It will handle Word DOC files,
and is more than enough for writing papers for college.
