I loaded a windows xp theme for my desktop and all the
windows, when i installed it everything turned black the
wallpaper turned black the text turned black everything
but the icons.I cant see anything but icons so it makes
it very difficult to set it back to the regular xp theme.
I need to figure out a way to put it back to the regular
windows theme without reinstalling windows xp home.

Have you tried to boot up in safe mode. his should revert
back to the default theme so that youj can amend the
changes??

If you can see icons, that's not so bad. It sounds as though you can
access system restore and select a point before your adventures began.
Start button, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore

Or, if you can see into the run box
RUN
restore
Click rstrui.exe

Or, you can get into the desktop display commands via
RUN
display
I *believe* that you can highlight the areas by tabbing.

I just did this to my computer. I downloaded a theme onto "my" side of the computer. Switched over to my husband's side, & all was black except the icons... I'm in big trouble now! Tried an uninstall, didn't work. Did you find a solution to your problem
Sincerely
Conni
