Hi, I currently use a windows 98. I installed a XP home edition on a
separate partitioned drive ( drive D) ignorantly.. I can't unistall the xp in
the the partitioned drive. i have two os now and it prompts me everytime to
choose when i boot up. How can i just have windows xp only? can i unistalled
the windows 98 in the c drive to achieve that? will that be any problems if i
did that?

Hi Enghan,

Just simply boot into WinXP, delete the Win98 system files from Windows
Explorer and edit boot.ini to remove the reference to it from the boot
loader. I would *suggest* that you consider just upgrading the Win98 systems
since you now know that WinXP runs on your system, you can then delete the
secondary installation you initially created. Keep in mind that you should
not format C: at any point, as this is where the boot files are located
regardless of which way you go.
