I'm upgrading my windows 98 to windows 2000 pro and everything goes smoothly at first. The setup copies some files and when it restarts my computer for the 1st time, it boots up normally and into the windows 2000 pro setup. It then goes to this blue screen with text at the bottom, showing files that are being copied. But once it is done, it stops on "Setup is starting up Windows 2000" or something like that. It freezes at that and nothing can be done. It is a clean install and it is right after I installed windows 98.

Install Win2000 onto a clean disk instead of upgrading.
You end up with a far better operating system.

Yeah, I'd upgrade but when I try running my win2000 cd in dos, it says "This program cannot be run in DOS mode." If I could somehow get around that, then it'd be great. But if I can't, I still need a solution to my upgrade problem =/.

Asked and answered several times each day. Check the post headed "Can't
format C:", posted in this newsgroup only a few hours ago.

Sorry, but I put that header into the search, and didn't pull any threads that told me the solution, care to paste a link?
