I was surprised to find that Win2K Backup Utility will not backup to a CD-R/RW. Something lame like it thinks that it is "read only". Microsoft says the fix is to backup to a file and burn the file - yeah, so you have to have enough room on your hard disk for your regular stuff plus the backup file. The alternative is to buy a third party utility that can do the backup, but Nero 6 upgrade (upgrading from Nero Express which came with my CD burner) is $65. Does anyone know of a way to do a real backup (straight to the CD burner) either by tricking Win2K or with shareware or an inexpensive alternative? Thanks.
