Win 2000 could not start File is missing or corrupt

Help,

"windows 2000 could not start because the following fils is missing or
corrupt"

\winnt\system32\config\system

has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it.

At the moment I can't use my Autocad, Correl etc. will I be able to save my
programs too?

Hi Kenneth!

You've stumbled into the Windows2000.macintosh group so if you don't get
much response that's why.
