Why music fails to play on power point presentations?

Experiencing problems with inserting music on Power Point Presentations.
Saving songs into files the same way but some songs work and others do not.
Any suggestions?
 
What version of PowerPoint and what type of music files? MP3s?

Where do you have the files stored? In My Documents or in a deep hierarchy of
folders? If the path exceeds 128 characters, PowerPoint won't play them. Try
moving everything to C:\Test and delete and reinsert the sound files and run the
presentation. Do the sound files work?
