Why do my letters all look BOLD on the screen?

On all new documents I type, the letters all look bold. This happened in the
middle of typing a document and now it looks this way on all new documents.
My previously created documents still look normal (or the way I am used to).
What did I do?

Check the zoom level. A smaller non-bolded font will look bold if you are at
a higher zoom level.

Comic Sans MS is the font where I learned about that. ;-)
