Why can't i go directly to a web site from an email?

The look of my messages has changed since I last downloaded updates from
microsoft. I have to change the view to HTML every time i view a message and
I can not go directly to a web site from outlook. I find it very annoying
and wish I had not downloaded the updates.

Could you please provide more information so we can try to assist. What
version of Outlook are you using? What happens when you try to go to a URL
and what are your current settings. Using the Outlook 2003 SP2 with Rich
Text as the setting does not pose a problem with opening links. Do you have
some sort of error or some more information on what is actually happening?

Sometimes I find that I have to hold CTRL and then click on the link in
order for it to go to a web site.
