While copying a group of text boxes and sometimes images creates new single image

When I copy a group of text boxes and sometimes images from one word doc to
another it creates a new single image that I can not ungroup. why it is
like this?

is there a way to copy the text boxes so I may ungroup them to change the
sizes of them after I have copied them?
