What makes hotfixes lose their validation or say they don't veryfy

Well, I have a number of these on my machine, but they were fine in Feb when
I put them in, and the latest one was fine after it went in last month, but
now says it is not verifying. I'm confused (more than usual that is!)

I don't know about all of them, but some of the Hotfixes get updated.
