I think probably the missing forwardslash (sic?) was a typo - I've been
getting a similar error in IE6 myself a lot recently. More on my 98SE
machine that on my Win2000 box. On my Win 2000 PC it ONLY ever occurs when
I'm browsing Google Groups messages, and choose the 'View Thread' option.
When an entire thread has loaded, the page displays two HTML panes.
The left pane contains a list of every thread contributor, the right pane
the content of each message in the discussion. I'm rarely interested in the
'name' panel, so I drag the 'splitter' bar as far over to the left as
possible, so that the message content pane is as large as possible. It's at
the moment that I release the 'splitter' that the error occurs...
