Windows XP web Photos

How do you copy photos on the web.
I've tried to copy and paste them, but when I try to open them theirs nothing in the file.
or nothing reconizes the file format.

Well aside from most pictures having a 'copywrite' on the web, a little common sense is needed there ... you Right-click & "Save Picture As" … a window will popup with save to "My Pictures", just press save.
