Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne fails to load every time

I recently re-installed windows xp pro (without the recommendation of a tech agent) and am having problems starting War3: TFT. Every time I click the shortcut, the screen flashes a few times, turns black, then displays an error report notification. When I had it installed shortly after it shipped, it worked fine. Help me out!

Why don't you contact their technical support people?

You probably have to reinstall the game and/or directx.
 
I would uninstall and reinstall the game and see if your problem is fixed.

Since the reinstall, have you been back to Windows Update and re-downloaded
the security updates and DirectX 9?

I agree contacting Dell will be a good idea. I have reinstalled the game and the same problem occurs, yet I dont have this problem with other games. And ya, I reinstalled dx9 and went through the windows update.
