VPN connection

Hello,

I have an odd networking problem with a VPN connection for which I have
not been able to track down the source. If you have a thought on what could
be in my way, I would appreciate hearing from you.

I have two computers on a small network One runs Windows 98 and the
other is running Windows XP Professional. The network is connected via
a Linksys 4 port router, which in turn connects both computers to a Verizon
DSL line.

Via the DSL line, both computers are intended to connect to a server through
a VPN using Cisco's VPN client 3.63. Both computers have individual
accounts
to connect on the VPN, but both connect to the same destination IP address.

What I've run into is that when one computer is connected to the VPN and the
second
makes a connection to the same VPN, the connection of the first computer is
dropped
and vice versa.

I cannot narrow down the source. Is it the VPN server seeing a two
connections from the
same IP address (Verizon's), is it the Linksys router allowing only one VPN
connection at
a time or is it the VPN client seeing itself already connected on the
network?

Thanks for any help.

Most likely your problem is "NAT Helper" either on CISCO or LinkSys router.
If possible try to disable "Nat Helper" and try again... On how to do it
consult product manual :)
