Hi,
My pc caught a virus about a month ago and resulted in
me having to re format the hard drive and re install
windows.
After re-instal i updated all my virus protection again
(norton 2003 works and zonealarm) and re connected to my
broadband service, now the problem is i get about 10 to
15 e-mails a day wich are intercepted by Norton and
contain a NETSKY virus.
Like i say, Norton is stopping them from getting
through but why is my pc being picked on so much by this
virus?
Any help would be welcome,
thanks.

I very much doubt that you *had* to do that.

"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you"

But in this case, they arent. But some good reasons might be;

You have a friend/friends/ acquaintances who have it,
You post your address in the clear on usenet (is that your real address
above? If so, bad idea),
15 isn't particularily high, I know of people who get hundreds a day.

It's just possible that Norton "thinks" they contain the virus. It might be
a good idea to invest in a good spam filtering programme too.

Thanks tumbleweed,
Im not a pc expert so you may be right, i may not of
had to do it but i did and it got rid of the problems,
The reason i am concerned about 15 is that i only got a
warning about once every month before this virus got me
(sasser).
thanks

Since you already have ZoneAlarm, why don't you use the feature that kills certain attachments (forgot the name, but it's there)? That would be another line of defense. Besides, you could ask Norton to take care of all the infections silently... As a last resort you could change your address (witness protection program ;)

FYI: Many normal ISPs filter viruses on their mail servers… They also have spam blocks
