Virtual Memory is Too Low

This is odd....there is no pagefile.sys in my client's WIN XP Pro.

I have the folder options set to show all system and hidden files too.

This is an issue because I can't perform some copy and paste operations
because it complains that virtual memory is too low.

Thanks for your time!

Intel chipset? If yes, look in Control Panel ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS for the
Intel Application Accelerator.
If found, remove it. (It is not mandatory that it be installed.)

Then go here, read up, and if applicable install the latest I.A.A.

I had the same problem - no pagefile.sys. I downloaded IAA and the computer is running faster. But I still can't find the pagefile.sys. Changed the min file size and Advanced tab reflects the changed size.

What gives?

I have been having the same problem. After logging into my account,
either I get the standard "no pagefile" message, or it takes ~15
minutes for windows to load (XP Pro - not an upgrade). I have all the
permissions, I have set it up to show all files and the pagefile.sys
does not exist. I have the 865 chipset and IAA is not installed. Saw
one suggestion to install it, so went to intel's site, but apparently
it is not compatible with the 865. When I set it to "no paging file",
I get neither the message at login, nor is there the 15 minute delay -
it boots right up. I do have Norton SystemWorks 2003 installed. Saw
there was an issue with live update, so disabled that - nogo. Have
tried numerous other things I have seen suggested that I cannot at the
moment recall. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on with
this? With the number of posts regarding this issue I have seen, and
particularly with the number of people who have found no solution,
does anyone know if MS is aware of or looking into this issue?
