I was a single user laptop and didn't have any passwords
set up for Windows. THen I added another user and tried
to set up her as a limited user and me as the
Administrative user. Did that but when I rebooted, all
my settings had changed including the desktop background
and all other items on the desktop now mostly missing, my
connection to my internet provider is strangely reached
where before I simply clicked on Outlook express and
then "send and receive" and my connection automatically
took over.....now when I boot up, up pops my name as the
adminstrator and her name as the limited user but nothing
else looks familiar.

I now can't even find the two old email addresses that I
had in Outlook Express. I had to recreate my
(e-mail address removed) address which had received a welcome
message from Windows, but had none of the other messges
or adresses that I had before I began this mess. Also
had lots of photos in "my Picture" and "My Documents"
folder...they have all disappeared.

Where have my old Pictures folder, old Documents folder
gone and old desktop gone to?

Please help as my business address is on that missing
desktop file and I am expecting important emails.

Looks like your profile is gone. Have a look at c:/documents and settings
Have a look there for local profiles. you might be able to find some of your
files
