I am getting the following error wessage when closing a USB memory stick in
XP."USB Device cannot be stopped right now. Please try again latter". There
is nothing using the stick and the last time I rebooted with the stick in
and still it says the same. It was OK earlier today!

Thanks will see when my wife brings it back. The device didn't use its own
drivers just the default XP ones. For some months its been OK just when I
used it to transfer some large files at work! When reloading my wives
original files things went wrong and the PC locked. It was after that it
came up with the error. Iv wondered if there is a registry setting that is
still showing the device as in use that wasn't cleared when I rebooted to
clear the lock up?
