Upgrading from XP Home to XP Pro

Guest

Hi,

I currently have XP Home (Full Retail Edition) running
well on my system. I have bought a full retail edition of
XP Pro as I need to run XP Pro. Will I have an option to
upgrade. Can this be done once I am logged onto to XP
home or do I need to boot from the CD? Any help & advice
will be most welcome.

Regards
Martin

Hi Martin

Boot from the XP Pro CD - select the 'Upgrade' option. You may like to
backup any valuable data files beforehand.

You should have the option to upgrade if you boot into XP Home, then insert
the CD and let it autorun.

Windows XP crashed.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.

You could have bought the Upgrade version and saved a few bucks.
Will I have an option to upgrade.
Yes.

Can this be done once I am logged onto to XP

Either, I think.
