Upgrade Failure from W2K -> XP Pro

.....on IBM Thinkpad notebook.

I go past the product key entry step. Then it checks for
config and comes back with a incompatibility failure
on "Nortel Extranet Client". This VPN s/w was uninstalled
a few months back but maybe there are some remnants
lurking around? The strange thing is that install cannot
proceed and simply exits.

Can anyone help?
 
Check and see if there are services related to the application still
installed or set to boot, that is most likley the problem. Seems like the
uninstall wasnt clean.
