I tried to update to service pack 2. I keep getting this
message, "Updates were unable to be successfully
installed." I removed previous updates on information I
found at this site with no help. I reinstalled Windows
XP home yesterday after not being able to update, and now
I have Windows XP home that will not update past the sp1
that I reinstalled. It will not even update the critical
updates. Its like windows update doesn't exist on this
computer. HELP!!! Thanks in advace, Lyle.
 
Your BEST bet is to reinstall XP, order the SP-2 CD from Microsoft and take it
from there.
