Unsafe Documents

Yesterday I updated my Microsoft Word, Excel, and added
Powerpoint to my PC. I did not update Outlook Express
because I liked it fine as it was. Now, however, anytime
I attach a Word document, it deems it as unsafe and does
now allow me to send it, or the reciever to open it. The
line where it normally says the name of the attachment
now says "OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your mail: (name of attachment)". I do
not understand why it is doing this if I did not touch
Outlook Express, but I need to be able to send out
various Word documents, so does anyone know how to help
me out?

Thanks in advance.

Try this site for information on removing the block:
http://www.omegageek.com/OESecurity.htm

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program, despite its similar name.

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

OUTLOOK EXPRESS, included as part of Microsoft Internet
Explorer, offers standard Internet e-mail and news access,
required by many home and small-business users.

MICROSOFT OUTLOOK, provides comprehensive integrated e-mail,
including information management and collaboration capabilities,
required by a wide spectrum of users from home to small
business to large enterprise. Outlook has the Calendar and Tasks.

Hi,

Quick and easy: This doesn't SOLVE the problem but it
will help you until you get it solved.

ZIP the word document in a compressed file...this way the
ext will be .zip, not .doc which it may be considering a
level one document which will NEVER be sent.

Hope that helps.
