Is the Universal PNP Service suppose to be set to automatic or manual. My
PNP Service is set to automatic.

I am having some trouble with a scanner that keeps telling me the scanner is
not ready at startup and I thought that this service might have something to
do with it.

What is the difference between Universal PNP Service and PNP Service?

Almost no one needs Universal PNP. Or disable it with this utility.

Hello,

Universal PNP should be set to Manual. PNP should be set to Automatic.

UPNP is set to manual by default.

Think of PNP for internal/external devices physically connected to the
system.

UPNP would be devices connect via Ethernet cable such as a UPNP enabled
Router.
