Unexpected Focus Change

I've got a customer who, when writing an email in OE
6.00.2800, has the focus change from the message window
to the Inbox every time the system checks for messages.
This also happens when the Web browser is the main point
of focus. All display options for new messages (folders,
cursors, sounds) have been turned off.

He is also getting an error message 00x800A138F when he
tries to run Update. The KB gave one article and none of
the causes listed apply here...

Hi Sven,

Your user probably has some spy or adware that is stealing focus. He/She
should install/run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de (make sure to download the
latest definitions).

On the WindowsUpdate error, this may help:

This problem is frequently caused by a caching error, so emptying the TIF's
may help.
