I get this every time I try and send an email, it can be new email or forward
email it does not matter. I have run the Office Diagnostics and it comes up
with put a check mark in download a file to help microsoft which is checked
and it could not access a file from the cd when the cd is in the drive and I
have selected it from the browse menu. I have Vista Ultimate 32 bit with all
updates, Office 2007 Enterprise with all updates installed, Toshiba Satellite
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technolgy, 2GB ram and 2GB dual core2 processor with
a 160GB hard drive. This problem started Saturday 18 Oct. 08. Before that
everything has been working, I have comodo firewall, avast antivirus and
winpatrol installed and running all the time. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Does your Application Event Viewer have any Outlook or Office-related errors
listed? If it does, what are the eventIDs and sources?

The only thing in Application Even Viewer is information about indexing
starting and stopping. Nothing about MS Office 12.

Hope this helps, if you need more info please let me know.

Are there any error numbers? Is the error message you mentioned the entire
message or is there more? Check the System Event Viewer for errors as well.
Have you attempted to run a repair against your PST? Or tried Detect and
Repair from the help menu?

Thank you for your reply, there is no error or anything in application,
system, security or any other log about it, when I get the error it is just a
little box in outlook message that I am trying to send with only an ok button
and no number or anything else and that is why it really has me puzzled. I
tried a scanpst.exe this morning, it claimed it found errors and had it do a
backup and repair of the pst file and I went back in and same thing comes up.
I tried to reinstall Office 2007 and the same thing happened. If you need
more info please let me know. Would uninstalling and reinstalling do any good?

Thank You

If scanpst.exe found errors, repeat the scan until it doesn't find any
further problems. Each time it finds errors, run it again until the PST file
comes up clean. Then open Outlook and try again. Keep me posted.

Thanks for the reply, I ran the scanpst 4 times, with the last 2 times no
errors, then went in and can forward email from everyone expect people with
hotmail.com address, I wonder if that has something to do with hotmail or
could it be that I have the outlook connector installed so that I can get my
hotmail email in Outlook? I don't know if I really need this part fixed as
long as the rest is working.

Thanks

What happens when you try to forward from people with a hotmail account? Is
there any error message?

Yes I still get the unexpected error has occured with only an ok button and
nothing else, no error number or anything and I still don't anything in any
log when I right click computer and click on manage then event viewer after
clicking continue on UAC prompt. Must be something with Hotmail now.

Thank You

I've not used the Connector for Outlook so perhaps one of the other MVP's can
step in and assist you.

The outlook connector I don't should have anything to do with regular pop3
email account that I have but I can uninstall it and try to send an email
that someone sent to me from their hotmail account and see if it works. The
only thing I have the connector for is too download my Hotmail account into
Outlook so I have all three emails in one place vice two separate places to
look.

I went into accounts on the tools menu and removed the hotmail email and
uninstalled the outlook connector and I get the same error message when I try
and send email that came to me from someone with a hotmail email address.
Really don't know what can be going on with this.

The only thing I can suggest is to delete and then recreate your Outlookk
profile(s):

http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

Don't copy the profile(s). Delete them, restart the PC/laptop, then recreate
them. That way you don't copy over any corruption or other issues associated
with the profile. If this doesn't work, post again as a new thread and
retitle it Outlook Connector Problems or something along those lines.
