Unable to view available chat rooms

I am unable to view the available chat rooms, although it appears that I'm able to enter the list (the applet has loaded succesfully). So, not sure what's preventing me from seeing the available rooms?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You got it quite right when you stated that any info would be greatly
appreciated... you see you have given virtually none.
Please state which chatroom; where (i.e., the url); what your IE security
settings are etc.
I realise you may be new at this, but there are more chatrooms on more
servers than you've had hot dinners (or pretended to have hot dinners if
you're from Manchester). It's impossible to help without more.

What chat rooms? What service? A messenger type chat room? A web based chat room? Are you 12 years old & trying to look @ porn? I mean what's exactly wrong?
