Unable to log on my home computer.

I have been unable to log on to my computer at home. I
have Windows XP Small Business edition. The computer
starts OK and will get to the screen where you select
which user will log on and that's when the trouble starts.
When I select any name to go into windows I get an error
that states; "This copy of Windows must be activated with
Microsoft before you can log on. Do you want to activate?"

It doesn't matter if I select yes or no, the next error
message I get says; "A problem is preventing Windows from
accurately checking the license for this computer." Then I
get an error code 0x80004005 at which point it locks up.
I've had this computer for a year and 6 months.
Can any one give me direction on this problem?

Restart the system in Safe Mode.

Boot the system, start tapping F8, when the menu appears, select Safe Mode
and press enter:

Go to start/run, and type

regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Select OK.

regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

Select OK.

You should receive a confirmation message for each command. Reboot to see if
the problem is solved.
