Unable to install xp on a PC with Windows 98se

When trying to install Windows XP Home Edition upgrade
unto a destop running Windows 98se it terminates with
this message "Setup can not find a previous version of
Windows installed on your computer. setup needs to verify
that you qualify to use this upgrade product.

Windows 98se is installed and shown at startup, using
Norton System Utility it shows Windows as 4.10.

Hi Domingo,

Disable Norton's (you should anyways before doing the upgrade), then boot
into Win98. Insert the WinXP Upgrade CD and run setup.
