If you're having trouble finding Electronic Components, here's a link to a list of some of the major UK suppliers.

If you run into an obstacle because you're not 'Trade' simply tell them you're a 'Sole Trader' you have your own business and operate from home. That should suffice

All of them are the best prices I could find, and have speedy delivery. Although, some of the more obscure components aren't available.

Two of the big names that will try to tell you that you need a trade account, but if you 'argue' enough (or as above, say you are a sole trader) then you can usually get served.

When I was at uni, RS gave a 10% student discount and happily served me at their counter on the basis that I said I was a student at the nearby uni in the electronics department.
