Two new glitches

Just 2 new minor annoyances

I just installed Win XP SP2 on a new SATA drive, on a P4 3ghz MSI MB,
ATI AIW 9600 video card, with a variety of other programs

First, when I press restart, it shuts off, rather than restart,
noticed this first when Norton said to restart.

The monitor listed now is a Default monitor when always before it was
listed as it is an plug and play NEC AcuSync.

Can not find a way to change that. Can't bring up any list of
monitors. Uninstalling and rebooting doesn't help.

Hi,

You need to check at least 2 things.

1. Go to MSI mobo website to look for any update relevant to SP2.
May be you need to update the mobo BIOS as well as the chipset drivers.

2. Go to ATI website and look for the latest catalyst drivers for your vedio
card.

If there is no info on the mobo and vedio card websites, go to add or remove
program to remove SP2.

The problem with the rebooting seem to have solved itself.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the newest drives from ATI

But it is continuing to list the monitor as the default and not the
Plug and Play NED AccuSync 90 19 inch monitor that it is and it use to
do that.
Doesn't seem to be a problem but I can't find anywhere, in Devise
Manager of the ATI software to change the monitor. I sure remember
you could get a list of monitors before.
