Hi:
I have two computers and want to set-up e-mail addresses on each computer,

Is it possible to set-up 'two' different accounts,
e.g., one for 'maligold' on first computer
and, ... another for 'sunshine' on a second computer

Because, I started to use 'two' different computers on different purposes,
but mostly I use a second computer for the work.
Then, I want to access MS Newsgroup on my second computer, without
going/changing a first computer on which I set-up MS newsgroup account,
'maligold.

While I'm doing something on a second computer, it's a hassle goint/changing
a first computer for posting/reading MS News.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I guess three things

1. Unless you have a really good anti spam program don't use a real email
address in newsgroups, spammers pick them up and use them.

2. You can set up the same or different email accoutns on any number of
computers but there are caveats...does you internet service provider give
you your email addresses or are they from someone else? Don't post the real
addresses here, just say who provides them.

3. Go here if you need a reminder how to set up
http://www.charlietame.org/oe/newsgroups.htm but you probably don't and can
just copy from the other machine. It does no harm at all to have more than
one machine reading a newsgroup BUT when you mark a thread to follow on one
machine it will NOT show as marked on the other so you will have to keep
that fact in mind when reading if there are a lot of new posts.

Thanks for your help in advance.

No problem, but if you can give more detail about (2.) there may be a better
answer.

Newsgroups aren't e-mail either.

If you have two e-mail accounts that you can configure for use in a mail
client on each computer, go for it. If you don't, you will need to get
e-mail accounts from somewhere. Windows doesn't come with e-mail, per
se....just Outlook Express, which is an e-mail client. That doesn't help you
unless you have an account.

Hi:
Thanks for your responses, above. I really appreciate it.

As having followed the instruction given me above, I created my 'second'
MS account on the second computer that has a different e-mail address.

However, I am NOT able to get and read *today's' post on Newsgroup,
even though I set as follow: I can see 'until' yesterday, 13th Jan., 2006.
There are NO 'today's(14th, Jan., 2006) on the second computer.

Tool<Option<Read< get "500" headers at time

Also, it's 'Blank' on : Message<Rule<News Rule(it's Blank, it's supposed to
see
"New News Rules #1?)

Wonder what did I do wrong on setting-up the 'new' MS account on my second
computer?

Also, as a 'test' I posted the same 'thread' in 'Help_Support,' and found
'Camel'
on the 'Reply-to.' My thread/post, above there is NO 'Reply to' on
'maligod.'

Thanks for your help in advance.

These would be excellent questions to post in an Outlook Express newsgroup -

Hi:
Thanks for your response.

After having spent quite a long hours on my second computer,
I finally 'solved' all of those problems I encountered after 'set-up' my
second/new MS
account on the second computer.
Also, the site you provided me is VERY helpful in all aspects of O.E.
Besides this, above, I went to 'Help' and got a solution on the problems.

Thanks you VERY much for all helps you provided me.
