I am trying to run an old win 3.1 program under XP Professional. It is an
X-10 control program controlling an old x-10 controller. It has been
running o.k on Windows 2000 Professional. However, I have upgraded my
computer to XP. The message I get when I try to open the data file under
the program is: "Can't share Paradox net file. Is SHARE.exe loaded?"
Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks, Neal

I don't think you'll be able to run that program on XP.

This is a very old program. The symptom indicates that the program
can't have the access that it expects to get the Paradox net file.
Check with Corel's web site, current owners of Paradox as I recall, for
information about how to share the Paradox net file in XP properly.

have you tried the current X-10 controller program from x-10.com? It's
called Activehome.
