trying to do scf /scannow

Hi .. I am trying to do this scf /scannow ... Okay when i
try it ask for my windows xp cd which i put it in and
then i get this all the time
File that are required for windows to run proplerly must
be copied to the DLL Cache >>> Then it ask for thw
windows cd disk which i do
More info on it >>> Possible reasond for this problem

You have inserted the wrong cd , ( i.e./ a different

windows prodict cd than the version installed )

The cd-rom drive in your system is not functioning

Hello,
Open regedit
look at the following value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
Value: SourcePath (REG_SZ)
Does this point to the cd-rom drive letter? If you are using the cd that
is where it should be pointing.
If it does, then windows is not seeing the cd-rom drive, the CD in drive is
not properly labeled, or not a proper cd.

DARRELL ... You are the man ... that what my problem was
the letter wasn't correct ... I got it right now and it
works... Thanks... Maybe you can help me with my network
problem ??? I am having problem with the web pages
loading correctly ... It only loads about 90 % on msn
sites ... Right now i can't even get the download page
for msn messenger 6.2 ... so what i did was i remove the
network card driver from the add and remove programs area
and from the devise manager too ... i reboot and
reinstall it ... Now i got this here below
Startservices >>>> THE SERVICE DATABASE IS LOCKED

StartService >>> Can't Start Kernel Mode Driver Service

Error >>> Can not load EIO.DLL

Any help you can provide on this would be most
greatful ... Thanks

I have seen that error when trying to load a service which is dependant on
another service being started.
So when trying there is a service that is disabled that needs to be started
first before.
There is a dependency probably within services.
Right click on my computer and choose Manage.
Locate services.
Each service has a dependency tab which points out if there are other
services that it depends on.
One of services is not starting that needs to be started.
you can see the list of services that are running by starting
Msinfo32
under software environment.
Choose services and sort by state. that should allow you generate a list
of started services

What is eio.dll? I am not familiar with this dll file
